In order to strengthen and unite the party ahead of the 2027 general elections, James Okoroma, the African Democratic Congress’s (ADC) Imo State Chairman, met with all 27 of the party’s LGA Chairmen.
At the meeting, which was held at the party’s New Owerri office, the 27 LGA Chairmen of the party and other interested parties reiterated their dedication to ensuring that ADC wins the upcoming elections.
Speaking to the assembly, the State Chairman of the party stated that the gathering demonstrated the party’s growing power and unity.
The Chairman reviewed the party’s progress thus far and noted that the party’s rising influence in the state has been reinforced and maintained by the ongoing membership drive and revalidation process.
During the distribution and return of Ward Party Registers, he praised the LGA Chairmen for their leadership development, selflessness, and efficient coordination.
The party State Chairman also stated that their commitment to making sure the exercise was carried out effectively and peacefully throughout the state was a step in the right direction for the party.
Okoroma underlined the significance of grassroots mobilization and called on party leaders, particularly those at the Ward and LGA levels, to act with honesty, inclusivity, and dedication. She also reaffirmed that increasing the party’s membership and reaching a wider audience continue to be ADC’s top priorities.
The LGA Chairmen, under the leadership of Omah Pius Omah, responded by thanking the State Working Committee for its visionary and people-focused leadership.
They reiterated their shared determination to fortify the party, increase grassroots involvement, and cooperate in order to secure the ADC’s triumph in the general elections of 2027.
