Nigerian singer Harrison Tare Okiri, better known by his stage name Harrysong, has urged President Bola Tinubu to reduce insecurity by raising security personnel’s pay nationwide.

According to reports, he voiced his concerns about the existing pay and benefits of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and other security groups in a statement he shared on Instagram.

He said that the compensation for soldiers who put their life in danger every day to defend the nation is still insufficient.

According to Harrysong, improving their well-being will inspire police and fortify the battle against crime.

He called on the government to give front-line workers a more fulfilling job.

“TO MR. PRESIDENT,” he wrote. Do you genuinely want to put an end to insecurity in Nigeria 🌳🌬? The first step should be to raise the salaries and benefits of the armed services. The salaries of the army, navy, air force, and Nigerian police force are too cheap and deplorable; they should be worth dying for. Please, please, please raise their pay.

In a related issue, President Bola Tinubu has come under fire from Nollywood star Yul Edochie for the country’s current situation.

Nigerians have reportedly been living in constant fear as a result of the current wave of kidnappings that have occurred throughout the nation.
