The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has come under fire from Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike for not reinstating His Royal Highness, Eze Ohna Sergent Awuse, the Paramount Ruler of Emohua, as Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council.
Recall that in 2024, Fubara appointed Eze Chike Worlu Wodo as the Paramount Ruler of Apara Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, succeeding Eze Ohna Awuse, a close ally of Wike.
Speaking at the palace of His Royal Highness, Ohna Sergent Awuse, who is also the Chairman of the South-South Traditional Rulers Forum on Sundau, during a special Christmas visit to his supporters in Emohua Local Government Area, Wike, however, attacked Fubara.
Wike disclosed that Awuse had been unwell and entered a coma, at which point the state government removed him from his position as chairman and named a successor.
“The Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council was Chief Awuse,” he stated.
Chief Awuse fell into a coma due to illness. Rather of asking God to help this guy, they removed him from the position of Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council.
“Go and put Chief Awuse back in his position. So far, it is challenging.
Do you think I’m a fool? Am I a moron?
“Well, wrestling is usually a good idea. Do you get what I mean? When wrestling begins, you know. At that moment, the key players don’t emerge.
