Kenneth Okonkwo, a veteran Nollywood actor and politician, has characterized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the opposition political vehicle to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.

He asserts that all of the ADC’s politicians are democrats dedicated to preserving democracy.

“Any opposition leader who hasn’t joined the ADC is working for Tinubu,” he said, adding that the party has enormous support in the southeast.

According to reports, Okonkwo submitted it on Friday while giving a speech on Channels Television.

“The only requirement to enter the ADC is to be a committed democrat. ADC will not compromise on internal democracy or upholding democratic principles.

“We want to enforce discipline, thus no leader or opposition leader was permitted to set conditions before arriving. We want that foundation to be strong, which is why everyone took the time to visit ADC.

“Now that the South East has gone ADC, they will, as I mentioned.” “Any other politician who wishes to work for any other party but is not a member of the ADC is working for Tinubu,” he declared.

Speaking about Peter Obi’s recent switch from the Labour Party to the ADC, Okonkwo called it a positive development.

Okonkwo pledged to collaborate with the ADC presidential candidate for the 2027 election, despite pointing out that the party has not yet selected a presidential candidate or zoned its ticket.

“He [Obi] belongs to the ADC. Every ADC member is a part of our team.

“Don’t worry, I will support whoever wins the ADC presidential election. “I am not personally at odds with anyone,” Okonkwo said.

Patients Should Sign Up for ADC
Speaking during the interview, Okonkwo also called on Peter Obi’s supporters to formally join the ADC before the general elections in 2027.

According to Okonkwo, Obidients who had not yet joined the ADC were “disObidients.”

“Telling your fans they can join any political party was a tactical error while I was in the Labour Party, and I’m delighted that my brother, Peter Obi, has reversed the technique.

“If you listen to his X Space interview, he stated that all of the obidients ought to go and sign up to become ADC members. Therefore, if you are obedient but not in the ADC, you are disobedient, I apologize,” he stated.
