The African Democratic Congress (ADC) national leadership has ruled that Senator Ireti Kingibe’s alleged suspension by her Wuse ward is invalid.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, stated that the ward did not have the power to remove a sitting senator from the party.

In response to questions from Leadership Newspaper, Abdullahi rejected the claimed action.

In his initial response to the news, he claimed not to have received any official confirmation of the suspension.

“I am unsure. “I don’t have this information,” he remarked.

Even if such a decision had been made at the ward level, he clarified, it would not have any constitutional validity.

“The ward lacks the authority to suspend a senator from the party. Abdullahi said, “They have no idea what they are doing.

In response to the news, Senator Kingibe said the purported suspension was unlawful and had no bearing.

She maintained that the people in charge of the action were not authorized by the constitution to do so.

The politician claims that those who made the statement were unaware of the party’s constitution.
