In accordance with orders from the party’s national headquarters, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State formally started its electronic membership registration process on Monday throughout the entire state.
Ahmed Usman Ododo, the governor of Kogi State, initiated the drill.
Yahaya Bello, the former governor of the state, was electronically registered at his Agasa Ward in Okene Local Government Area. This event drew a sizable crowd of party supporters, including Hon. Abdullahi Bello, the state chairman of the APC.
Speaking soon after registering, Bello called the activity necessary and praiseworthy, pointing out that it will increase direct communication between the party and its members and strengthen internal party solidarity.
He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continuous efforts to reposition the nation for sustainable growth and development and referred to the APC as a party for all Nigerians. Bello praised the President’s determination to make Nigeria competitive on a worldwide scale, especially in the fields of human capital development and economic growth.
Bello urged party members to actively participate in the e-membership registration process, explaining that it will immediately link registered members to government initiatives and programs for empowerment under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration.
“Let me thank everyone for participating in our activity today. I want to reassure you that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our president and leader, has positive plans for the citizens of this wonderful country and will keep doing more for them.
“The National Identification Number (NIN) requirement in the e-registration procedure demonstrates that members are directly connected to the party leadership and can be contacted for empowerment and other advantages without the need for middlemen. “I implore you to encourage your family members to take part in this activity,” he urged.
Bello reiterated that the APC is still the leading political party in Kogi State and advised party members to take the upcoming elections seriously. He urged the populace to support APC candidates at all levels in upcoming elections in order to maintain the party’s political success.
He urged Nigerians to be patient and to keep supporting the President’s reform plan, which he described as well-intentioned and focused on long-term national prosperity, while acknowledging that development frequently presents difficulties.
Bello also thanked the state’s party stakeholders for their ongoing support, praising the state party executive, local government chairmen, grassroots leaders, party ambassadors, and all devoted APC supporters throughout Kogi State.
Abdullahi Bello, the State Chairman of the APC, had earlier told the assembly that the e-registration process will continue in all 21 local government areas of the state after the governor and the former governor were registered.
In order to successfully complete the exercise within the deadline established by the party’s national leadership, he urged party members to cooperate, be understanding, and participate promptly.
Party officials, local government chairmen, local government party chairmen, and many local party supporters all attended the ceremony.
