The families impacted by a terrible traffic disaster in Okunchi, Adavi Local Government Area, have received help and condolences from the Kogi State Government.

A tanker and a BUA Cement truck were involved in the Thursday accident, which caused a large fire outbreak that destroyed cars, a house, and a mosque.

Many people were hurt in the collision, including a biker, and one cement truck driver became severely ill as a result of his injuries.

Gov. Ahmed Ododo’s message of support was delivered by the government team, headed by Alh. Ahmed Oricha, State Project Coordinator of the Kogi AGILE Project, who visited the scene and victims in the hospital on Friday.

The group spoke with local authorities and citizens, who praised the government’s prompt action and continuous efforts to build roads in order to avert further tragedies.

The neighborhood was reassured by the government of its dedication to enhancing road safety and infrastructure.

“The government is dedicated to helping residents in times of need. Oricha stated, “We need to make sure that our roads are safe, especially for heavy-duty vehicles.” He urged prudence on the roadways while praising the efforts of the medical teams.

The Okunchi residents found solace in the government’s understanding and quick response during a trying period.
