In an Open Letter to Lagos citizens read at the delivery of the gifts, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged all Lagos State citizens to join him in honoring President Tinubu’s life and outstanding accomplishments, calling him a “remarkable leader.”
Mr. Segun Fayemi, the CDC Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, read an open letter wishing President Tinubu many more years that will bring him and our dear country, Nigeria, even more glory.
“As you receive this gift box, my dear people, know that its contents are more than a token of celebration,” he declared. “We stand with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the unified voice of Lagos State declares loudly. His Renewed Hope Agenda is what we support. We have faith in the Nigeria he is creating. We do believe!
Together, we have persevered through the hardships of the reforms, and now we are starting to benefit from our perseverance. The best is in sight, and the worst is behind us. Let us look forward to 2027 with hope, assurance, and conviction.
“President Tinubu’s reform cannot be abandoned in the middle. The seeds that were sown with such bravery, audacity, and vision are only now starting to sprout.
“I invite all Lagosians, including traders in Balogun, tech entrepreneurs in Yaba, farmers in Epe, fishermen in Badagry, bankers on the Island, teachers in Ikorodu, mothers in Alimosho, fathers in Mushin, and students in Surulere, to join me in honoring our beloved President and reaffirming our dedication to the path of national rebirth he has so bravely undertaken.
“May the Almighty bestow upon His Excellency many more years of exceptional health, fortitude, discernment, and unending grace to continue guiding our magnificent country toward its ultimate glory.” I hope he gets the same happiness on his birthday that his leadership has given to millions of Nigerians, who now dare to think that a better, wealthier, and more cohesive Nigeria is developing right in front of our eyes.
Additionally, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised President Tinubu’s role as Lagos State’s first governor in the current Fourth Republic for his contributions to the state’s expansion and prosperity.
“As your governor, I have had the honor of building upon the legacy President Tinubu created as Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007,” he declared. With a GDP of roughly $259 billion, Lagos is currently the second-largest city economy in Africa thanks to his innovative leadership.
The Greater Lagos Rising Agenda is predicated on the revenue architecture he invented, the institutions he established, and the culture of excellence he fostered. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s untiring hands and creative mind developed Lagos as it exists today.
