‘Leader Of PDP Faction Supporting APC Should Move Into The Party’ – Dickson Iroegbu

Iroegbu reportedly said this in response to the Appeal Court’s decision over the PDP National Convention, which took place in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November of last year.

The PDP group led by Taminu Turaki filed an appeal, which the Abuja Appeal Court dismissed on Monday.

Additionally, the Court maintained the ruling of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which on October 31, 2025, prohibited the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from acknowledging the results of the PDP’s 2025 National Convention.

In response to inquiries during an interview on “Prime Time” on ARISE Television, Iroegbu insisted that the PDP cannot be an extension of the current APC.

“PDP will not become an appendage of the APC,” he declared. A PDP group’s leader has declared his support for the APC government. They ought to simply relocate to the APC.

“You can’t be here and there, but it’s okay to support whoever you want to support.

That’s the problem. Our political system has made it possible for this kind of shenanigans to flourish. It’s depressing.

As I mentioned earlier, the ruling today did not support our position, but it also did not uphold the illegality known as the “Caretaker Committee” since you cannot put anything on nothing.

“Today, the Appeal Court upheld the suspension of the group that established the Caretaker Committee.

They established what they dubbed the Caretaker Committee during that period of suspension.

“How can anyone then claim that you are continuing with your so-called Caretaker Committee after receiving confirmation that their suspension is still in effect?”
