A newborn boy was born to veteran musician Innocent Idibia, often known as 2Face or 2Baba, and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
After Osawaru was allegedly spotted at a hospital early on Friday, speculation that she had gone into labor grew more intense.
A few hours later, the politician put an end to the rumors by confirming on her official Facebook page that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
According to reports, followers, supporters, and well-wishers immediately sent her congratulations after she posted.
With the baby’s arrival, the couple’s closely watched relationship enters a new phase. Following the singer’s split with Annie Idibia in January, 2Baba and Osawaru formally joined forces earlier this year.
From the Valentine’s Day proposal to family visits and customary ceremonies in the months that followed, their romance soon attracted public notice.
The pair married in a traditional, private ceremony in Abuja in July, with only close family members present. Despite being low-key, the ceremony laid the groundwork for their new life together and has continued to get public attention.
The musician and his ex-partner, Annie Idibia, are known to have children.
