Dr. Danladi Jatau, the speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, claims that the All Progressives Congress, or APC, is still the party to defeat at every level in the forthcoming general election in 2027.
According to NAN, Jatau made this statement on Tuesday in Lafia while hosting more than 20 PDP members who were involved in the Eggon extraction and were about to leave the party for the APC.
He promised equal rights and chances to all members, particularly those who had lately switched from their previous parties to the APC.
The Speaker expressed satisfaction with the prompt and well-informed decision made by PDP stakeholders.
Jatau revealed that they would be formally welcomed after notifying the party chairman and the state governor of their relocation.
He called the PDP stakeholders’ anticipated defection “another big catch and victory” for the state’s APC.
For a resounding win in 2027, Jatau urged party members to remain loyal, unified, and cooperative.
He also urged locals to keep praying for the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and Governor Abdullahi Sule’s.
Alhaji Abubakar Company, the team leader, had earlier stated that they were moving their tent because of the Speaker and Governor Sule’s excellent leadership.
They would boost the party’s worth and guarantee its success after 2027, he continued.
