The recently commissioned Ultra-Modern Newsroom, according to Kamoru Ogunlana, the Clerk of the National Assembly, is a calculated move to improve institutional effectiveness and openness.
During the commissioning event, Ogunlana stated that the facility would expand public interaction, improve documentation of legislative processes, and improve information management.

He declared, “This newsroom is a strategic investment designed to strengthen information management, improve documentation of legislative activities, and enhance public engagement.”

“The complex is being developed into a symbol of institutional strength and national pride,” he continued.

“We are transforming it into a destination that embodies the dignity and significance of democratic governance as well as a center of pride and national significance,” Ogunlana said.

Additionally, the Clerk emphasized the need of worker welfare and capacity growth, stating that employees are the foundation of the organization.

“We need to end the trend of disregard and damage. I urge all employees to adopt a robust maintenance culture,” he said.

Speaking as well, Pharmacist Ali Umaru, the Secretary of the Research and Information Directorate, called the newsroom a significant turning point for the legislative.

“It is the unveiling of capacity and strategic communication, not just a physical structure,” Umaru stated.
