Umar Sani, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused Justice Uche Agomoh of going above her judicial authority in the ongoing party turmoil.

Speaking on the fallout from the Ibadan court decision, Sani stated that as the party was not involved in starting the case, it did not rejoice the verdict.

In an interview with Trust Television, he made this claim.

“I never celebrated the Ibadan court’s ruling because we weren’t the ones who brought the case to court, not because it wasn’t worth celebrating,” he stated.

A candidate who was attempting to run for Deputy National Organizing Secretary at the time brought the issue to court. The fact that we did not file the lawsuit in court makes it very evident that we are not complicit in attempting to get or procure, as you put it, judgment in a High Court in Ibadan, even if the ruling favors our faction.

Sani went on to say that the party had simply gone to court to get a mandamus order from the Federal High Court in Ibadan.

“We only filed a case in a Federal High Court in Ibadan, where we sought an order of mandamus, but Justice Agomuo decided against us,” he stated.

“There was just a mandamus order in front of her. She became a Father Christmas and gave things that even the other party didn’t ask for, but there was no prayer for anything else. She let it go. We will thus contest that.
