Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant, has refuted statements made by Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, claiming that the missing activist Abubakar Idris, also known as Dadiyata, was in fact a critic of the former governor.
Omokri’s response came after El-Rufai denied ever meeting or knowing the critic during his appearance on Arise TV on Friday.

Omokri charged El-Rufai with deceiving the public about Dadiyata’s position on his government in a post on X on Saturday.

El-Rufa’i was criticized by Dadiyata. And the proof is attached. Not only that. Bashir, Nasir’s son, rejoiced when he was kidnapped. Can Nasir make Dadiyata vanish if he can threaten to kill international election observers?

Omokri also demanded explanations and questioned the circumstances behind the activist’s disappearance.

Valentine’s Day is today. He stated that Dadiyata’s wife and their two small girls should be informed about the fate of their loved one.

“Where is Dadiyata, Nasir?”

On August 2, 2019, Dadiyata was kidnapped from his home in Kaduna and hasn’t been seen since.
