Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has stated that his administration is committed to doing more work for the state’s citizens, emphasizing that this is the only way to address criticism from the opposition.

Speaking at a reception for Attorney-General of Abia State Ikechukwu Uwanna, SAN, at Isuikwuato on Saturday, Otti advised anyone attributing the roads he built to other administrations to have their identity verified to see whether they are actually Igbo.

True Igbos are not known for being dishonest, the governor remarked, expressing concern that some Abia opposition members were downplaying the accomplishments of his government because he is not belong to their party.

“You claim a road wasn’t finished even though you can’t see it. You can’t see a road that someone else created and give them credit for it. You are not an Igbo man if you act that way.

However, we are unwilling to even reply. We are responding with further work. This is your government, that’s one thing you can be certain of,” Otti stated during a speech at the function.

He claimed that the Abia population is being inundated with false information about his administration by opposition members, particularly regarding finished and continuing projects.

He commended Uche Ogah, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, for endorsing the accomplishments of his administration in the state.

He went on to characterize Ikechukwu Uwanna, the Attorney General of Abia State, as a key member of his administration.

Ogah, the former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, stated earlier in his remarks at the ceremony that he would back Governor Alex Otti’s reelection regardless of his (Ogah) APC affiliation.
