The schedule of events for its congresses and national convention has been made public by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Polling Unit and Ward Congresses will take place on April 7, 2026, followed by Local Government Area Congresses on April 9 and State Congresses on April 11, according to a public notice signed by National Organizing Secretary Prince Chinedu Idigo and National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.
According to reports, the statement also stated that the party’s National Convention, which is set for April 14, 2026, will be the culmination of the process.
Members who wanted to run for open posts were advised by the party to use the official ADC website to obtain and submit the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms.

Ward Congresses and Polling Units: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Congresses for Local Government Areas: Thursday, April 9, 2026
State Congresses: 11 April 2026, Saturday
National Convention: April 14, 2026, a Tuesday

The official program of events for the 2026 National Convention and nationwide congresses of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is hereby announced.
This procedure is a component of the party’s constitutional obligation to update its leadership structures at every level of the organization, starting with the wards and polling places and continuing through the state and local governments until reaching the National Convention.
It is recommended that party members who wish to run for any open posts at the ward, local government, or state levels download, fill out, and submit the appropriate nomination or expression of interest forms via the party’s official platform.
