Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Convention Planning Committee, says the party is traveling to Ibadan for the planned election convention.
Shortly after a meeting on Thursday night, Fintiri revealed this in an interview with reporters.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, and former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki were among those present at the meeting, which took place at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro.
“We recently concluded a crucial stakeholder meeting where numerous complex decisions were made.
Fintiri declared, “I want to tell you here that we are going to Ibadan for our convention, which is sacrosanct.”
Attempts to elicit additional remarks from him regarding the party’s situation were unsuccessful as his security guards swiftly escorted him away.
