Rotimi Amaechi, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has backed Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, for his remarks regarding the eavesdropping of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu’s phone conversations.
According to reports, El-Rufai acknowledged that he and others had tapped Ribadu’s phone and listened in on his talks. This action has been widely criticized by the president and other sources.
In response, Amaechi said in an Eagle Media interview on Tuesday that El-Rufai is unable to tap the NSA’s phone.
He claimed that the NSA’s office is in charge of keeping an eye on calls and accused Ribadu of working against the opposition parties and for his own gain in the run-up to 2027.
“I doubt that El-Rufai claimed to have hacked NSA Nuhu Ribadu’s phone,” he remarked. He lacks the ability to accomplish that.
Our calls are being heard by the NSA’s office. Ribadu is occupied with making arrests. He intends to hold two elections.
He is making plans for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election as well as for himself in 2031.
He is just organizing parties to oppose the ADC. He has a phony ADC of his own. Go to court; he has a lot of ADC cases involving young lads for whom he has purchased automobiles.
“The man must take a break. He is wasting his time if he believes that there won’t be legitimate elections in 2027. He ought to concentrate on his security work.
