Almost three years after his passing, Nigerian artist Primeboy, whose real name is Owodunni Ibrahim, has made a heartfelt public plea for the burial of his close friend, the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

Recall that Mohbad has been in the mortuary since his controversial death on September 12, 2023.

He was first buried on September 13, 2023, but on September 21 he was dug up so that an autopsy could be performed on him. He has been in the morgue ever since.

According to Joseph Aloba, the deceased’s father, the singer’s bones won’t be interred until a DNA test is completed to determine Liam’s genuine paternity. Liam is the only kid the singer and his wife, Omawunmi, left behind.

In a widely shared video, Primeboy urged the public, the government, and Mohbad’s family to see to it that the singer’s ashes are interred.

Nearly three years have passed since Mohbad left us, he remarked. He’s still in the mortuary. I’m pleading with the government, the public, and the family in order to bury our brother. He should be buried with honor.

A court in Ikorodu has ordered three different DNA tests to be performed overseas in order to establish Liam’s paternity.

The court issued the fresh order in response to the stalling of previous preparations to perform a DNA test, which delayed the resolution of the dispute between Mohbad’s widow and his relatives.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, and his attorney, Oladayo Ogungbe, appeared in court and claimed that problems with the testing center’s eligibility prevented the first court-approved process from moving further.

To prevent any disagreements and to guarantee confidence in the result, Ogungbe informed the court that a new agreement had been reached.
