Due to the PDP’s ongoing internal strife, Jigawa State PDP stakeholders have asked former governor Sule Lamido to think about switching political parties.

Its chairman, Hon. Ali Idris Diginsa, signed a communiqué that was distributed to reporters following the meeting at the PDP state secretariat.

It voiced its worries about the party’s alleged worsening internal crises and the leadership’s inability to settle remaining disagreements.

The Forum accused the party of allegedly excluding Lamido and keeping him from running for national chairman for reasons that were known to them.
The recent altercation between Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja was embarrassing and deplorable.

According to the forum, “the PDP is no longer a formidable national platform due to persistent divisions, distrust, and unending rancour among its members.”

However, the party chairmen reiterated the members’ allegiance to Sule Lamido and pledged their whole support and allegiance to him in all of his decisions.

Lamido is the only member of the ancient G9 and G18 groups still alive who has never left the PDP, even during the height of the Buhari political tsunami in the North, according to the forum.

The organization said, “We urge our leader to seek a viable political platform that would allow his followers to pursue the dream of a greater Jigawa and Nigeria.”
