Politicians Attending PDP Meetings While in APC Lack Integrity – Suswam

Gabriel Suswam, the former governor of Benue State, has spoken out against politicians who work against their own parties, saying they are not honest.

On Monday, Suswam said in an interview with ARISE News that politicians need to take clear stands instead of trying to work across party lines.

He said, “If someone in the APC wants to run against the current government in an election and is going to a PDP meeting, that person is completely disqualified from even trying because they don’t have any integrity.”

“You have to stand for something if you have integrity.” If you can stand on something and put one leg in and one leg out, then you can’t trust this integrity.

Suswam said that his move from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) was part of a larger political realignment based on conviction and the public good, not personal gain.

He said that the political direction of Benue State and the performance of the current government had an effect on his decision.

He said, “If you look up the word realignment, it means that people are moving to be in line with other people.” It’s not just for your own sake. You are guilty of something.

“I won’t go against what my people want and believe.” They now believe in the APC philosophy and principle.

The former governor confirmed plans to run for office again, saying, “The only election I would run for now is the Senate election.”
