In an effort to combat terrorist organizations and bandits in the country’s northern region, Nigeria is amenable to further military and security cooperation with the United States, according to First Lady Remi Tinubu.

It was claimed that she hoped for more cooperation between the two countries and called the U.S. strikes on Christmas Day a blessing for Nigeria.

When Mrs. Tinubu visited the United States, she discussed the airstrikes that were directed at terrorist targets in Sokoto.

She also went to the National Prayer Breakfast with Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, who had ordered the strikes.

As the nation continues to experience attacks that have taken many lives, Mrs. Tinubu said the acts provided relief to Nigeria and that the government is addressing the problems.

A very positive development was the U.S. intervention.

“Nigeria is eager to work with the United States on security matters.” While in Washington, D.C., for a week, Tinubu told Fox News Digital, “We anticipate that there will be more.”

The U.S. took direct military action in Nigeria for the first time on Christmas Day.

Airstrikes will continue if terrorists did not stop attacks on Christians, President Trump has previously said.

He referred to the operations as a gift to the nation and reaffirmed that the US would not permit extremist organizations to flourish under his direction.
