Recent reports that Southern Kaduna, especially Kauru Local Government Area, has been neglected in the face of growing insecurity have been rejected by a well-known professional forum called “Kaduna Scribes.”
In a statement released on Friday by its National Chairman, Comrade Ezekiel Gambo, the forum called the allegations “misleading and unfounded,” emphasizing that they did not accurately represent the proactive and intentional security measures that Governor Uba Sani’s government was putting in place.
Kaduna Scribes acknowledged that sporadic security incidents still happen in some areas of Kauru and other villages, but they clarified that blaming the issue on government indifference is a “gross distortion of facts” and a “flawed narrative.”
According to the statement, combating banditry and insurgency is a difficult undertaking, and no genuine leader—especially Governor Sani—would stand by in the face of threats to security and peace.
Gambo noted that since taking office, Governor Sani has placed a high priority on preserving lives, bringing about peace, and fostering unity throughout Southern Kaduna and the entire state. He emphasized that his administration has implemented an intelligence-driven security strategy based on cooperation, inclusivity, and sustainability.
“Regular high-level security meetings involving service chiefs, the Kaduna State Security Council, and community stakeholders to coordinate rapid responses to threats,” he stated.
“Increased troop deployments and ongoing patrols in communities at risk to prevent attacks.”
He went on to say that ongoing collaboration with religious leaders, youth organizations, and traditional authorities to enhance intelligence collection has strengthened peaceful cohabitation, highlighting rehabilitation initiatives and assistance for the safe return of displaced people to previously impacted areas.
The administration’s “whole-of-society approach,” according to the Kaduna Scribes, is intentional, consistent, and producing quantifiable benefits despite the difficulties presented by criminal groups.
Instead of spreading stories that can increase anxiety or interfere with operations, the forum invited community leaders, stakeholders, and petitioners to support ongoing security measures through constructive involvement.
The Kaduna Scribes reiterated their faith in Governor Uba Sani, declaring that his administration is still dedicated to retrieving kidnapped individuals, protecting people and property, and establishing enduring peace throughout Southern Kaduna.
