Tinubu Swears in Tunji Disu As Substantive IGP

On Wednesday afternoon, President Bola Tinubu swore Tunji Disu in as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

Six commissioners from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and two from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) were also sworn in by the president during the occasion, which was held in the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.

Ministers, senior government officials, and members of the appointees’ families attended the ceremonies, which took place before to the inaugural Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in 2026.

Following the swearing-in event, a sizable number of council members were present when the FEC got underway.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, are among those present.

Also present are the majority of the ministers.
