Nigerians and other migrants have received a new warning from the UK not to take up occupations without the required authorization, threatening to arrest, detain, and deport anyone found doing so.
According to reports, immigration raids have been more common, and measures against illegal workers have surged nationwide, according to UK officials.

Enforcement teams are actively visiting workplaces to find individuals who are violating immigration laws, officials stressed.

The UK government states that immigrants who are discovered working without proper authorization will be dealt with right away and may be deported.

In a tweet, the Home Office stated that it will not put up with unlawful employment and that it is dedicated to upholding immigration regulations.

The authorities further stated that working illegally disadvantages authorized workers and damages the UK labor system by enabling companies to evade laws designed to safeguard wages and jobs.

“Those who are found to be working unlawfully in the UK will be detained, arrested, and deported.

The UK government stated that “Immigration Enforcement raids are at record levels, with those found to be working illegally being arrested, detained, and removed from the country.”

The warning coincides with the UK tightening labor and border regulations, which will increase workplace inspections, particularly in industries that are known to use foreign labor.
