Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, claims that what she has learned and continues to learn in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would not have been taught by a political science degree.
In a statement published on her verified X handle on Saturday, the co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement announced this.
According to the article, Yesufu joined the ADC on December 31, 2025, not long after Peter Obi, the previous presidential candidate for the Labour Party, defected to the party.
“No political science degree would have taught me the things I am learning simply by being a registered member of ADC, and I adore it.”
The actual power brokering occurs within political parties. I’ve never made a better choice than joining ADC,” she remarked.
Recall that in advance of the 2027 elections, Yesufu had recently counseled opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to use pragmatic campaign tactics that directly address the financial struggles that many Nigerians experience.
She contended that the pervasive poverty has caused many people to prioritize their immediate survival over political messaging.
