Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, is hopeful that the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket will win the presidential election in 2027 by noon.

Tanko said this during an interview on the Channels Television show “Politics Today.” He was responding to a comment by Dele Momodu, the head of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who said he would rather see an Atiku-Obi ticket.

In an interview, Momodu was asked about the ADC’s chances in the 2027 general election. He said he would support a possible alliance between Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in 2023.

He said, “I’d put him (Atiku) with Peter Obi because they worked together in 2019, so they already have a similar personality.” Peter Obi came in third in the last election, so you don’t have to work too hard to keep and attract the same people who love him.

Tanko asked Momodu, “Do you want to pick someone who will win the primary and lose the election?” in response to Momodu’s choice.

Tanko said that the ADC will win the 2027 election with Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State.

He said, “The ADC will lose the election if it doesn’t zone the presidency to the South.” The election will be over by noon if there is an Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.
