Nenadi Usman, the Labour Party’s interim national chairperson, says that Peter Obi, the party’s candidate for president in 2023, will not be able to return to the party.

On Wednesday, Usman talked about this in an interview on Arise Television’s “Prime Time.”

She said that once they close the register 21 days before the primaries and send in the e-register, no one can register through the back door.

“It will be too late for Peter Obi to come back to the Labour Party because, according to the Electoral Act, we will close the register at some points. You can’t come after that.

“Obi really took the party to new heights in 2023.” No one else can keep up with that kind of speed like he did.

“He talked me into joining the Labour Party.” “Not just me, but a lot of people who are in the Labour Party now because we believe in fairness and equality,” she said.
