Ladipo Johnson, the spokesman of the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Thursday, confirmed that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is not happy over a growing leadership tussle within the campaign bloc, OK Movement.
Johnson reportedly made the claim during an interview with Arise Television.
Johnson admitted that tensions had arisen within the Movement, but he characterized the state of affairs as a temporary setback rather than a serious threat to its political aims.
He said the division in the movement has become a distraction especially at a time when supporters are expected to focus on strengthening its structure across the country.

Johnson also said the dispute was a fallout from differences between some members and the leadership of the Movement warning against actions that could create divisions among supporters of the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso alliance.
Peter Obi has been briefed on the situation and is not happy with the ongoing disagreement, Kwankwaso added.
“Yes we have,” he said, “may I call it a distraction at present. In my humble opinion, it is not the type of thing that would lead you to take unilateral action which could potentially scuttle or create bad blood in the support base of the person you want to be president of the country.
“I met the presidential candidate with the DG last night. “He’s not too happy about the whole thing.”
