Ayra Starr, Nigerian singer, has said she would hijack a relationship if she earns more than her partner.
The songstress was said to have said this while discussing relationships and financial responsibilities on an episode of the Wahala podcast on Tuesday.
Ayra Starr said she would behave differently to her partner if she was richer than him.
The Rhythm and Blues crooner said she would have more influence in the relationship because she is in a stronger financial position.
The singer added that she would still expect the man to take financial responsibility in the relationship even if she was making more money than him.
The fact that a woman has more money in her position should not completely remove the role of the man as a provider.
She also disclosed that she would not want her partner to know exactly how much she is having if she is richer than him.
“If I date a man who I am richer than I will have control over him. “But even if I am richer, he will still provide and I will not let him know I have a lot of money,” she said in the interview.
