Sunday Marshall Katung, the senator for Kaduna South Senatorial District, has met with Christopher Musa, the minister of defense, to discuss the ongoing security issues that Southern Kaduna towns face.

After meeting with the minister at the government Ministry of Defense in Abuja, Katung revealed this in a statement on Saturday. He described the meeting as a part of efforts to seek stronger government engagement to improve security in areas of his senatorial district.

The congressman claims that the interaction was centered on the safety of those living in Kaduna South Senatorial District areas, many of which have recently experienced security threats.

According to Katung, “the meeting was an important step towards addressing security concerns affecting some of our communities in Kaduna South Senatorial District.”

He said that the Defense Minister showed a willingness to assist efforts to restore peace and stability in the impacted areas, and he expressed pleasure with the minister’s attitude and dedication to addressing the security situation.

Katung also praised Musa’s leadership and strategy for national security, characterizing it as all-encompassing and strategic.

He pointed out that the minister’s viewpoint addresses the wider security requirements of Kaduna State and the entire nation, going beyond regional issues.

He continued, “The minister’s approach to security is comprehensive, looking beyond our senatorial district to the broader needs of Kaduna State and Nigeria.”

In order to confront insecurity, the senator emphasized the necessity of cooperation between political leaders, security services, and community stakeholders, pointing out that sustained peace can only be attained via teamwork.

He declared, “As a representative of the people, I am committed to working with the minister and other stakeholders to find lasting solutions to our security challenges.”

Katung also honored the sacrifices made by members of the military forces and other security organizations to safeguard people’s lives and property throughout the nation.

He urged the public to keep up their support for security forces and to offer helpful information that could help security services carry out their duties.

“Our security staff puts forth endless effort to ensure the safety of our communities. We should be grateful for and supportive of their sacrifices,” he stated.

Residents of Kaduna South Senatorial District were reassured by the senator that he would keep working with partners and pertinent authorities to guarantee better security and long-lasting peace in the area.

Recent security issues in Southern Kaduna have prompted requests for increased cooperation between federal security agencies and political leaders in order to protect people and property.
