Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, former vice president Atiku Abubakar has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress are trembling because to the African Democratic Congress’s current momentum.
Atiku claimed in a statement released on Tuesday by his spokeswoman, Phrank Shaibu, that the APC and the President are terrified since he has become “the center of gravity in the unfolding 2027 political equation.”
As a result, Atiku expressed concern about organized disinformation aimed at undermining the momentum of ADC.
Claims of his political retirement, he emphasized, are blatantly untrue.
“This isn’t sentiment.” It’s a political fact.
And it is precisely this expanding sphere of attraction, this growing convergence, that has caused fear among anti-democratic groups, who now turn to vulgar propaganda in a frantic attempt to break a momentum they are unable to control or comprehend.
“Those who comprehend power are aware that what some consider to be “noise” is frequently the first indication of movement, showing where attention is straying, where interests are shifting, and where the next realignment may finally settle.”
“No amount of false information will stop this movement. Nigerians’ tenacity much surpasses the dread of those who have let them down.
“We implore Atiku Abubakar’s supporters, ADC members, and all well-meaning Nigerians to ignore this propaganda in its entirety and stay unwavering in the shared mission to rebuild our nation,” he said.
Plots to thwart President Tinubu’s 2027 reelection attempt are intensifying, as former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso joined the ADC on Monday.
