The President has called Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, an inconsistent and opportunistic politician.

Bayo Onanuga, the president’s spokesman, said this in a post on his 𝕏 account in response to Obi’s claim that he could leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if internal processes are not followed.

Obi defended his record in the interview, saying that his actions were based on principle rather than personal gain. He said he left the Labour Party because of planned sabotage from within.

“They lit the house on fire and thought I would stay inside. “I found a way out, but they yelled at me for not staying to put out a fire they started,” Obi said.

Obi, who is now in the ADC, said that he cares more about what people do now than what they did in the past.

“Who people were before doesn’t matter; what matters is who they are now.” He said, “We are going through a process together, and if that process is compromised, I will not hesitate to speak out.”

Onanuga said that Peter Obi, the most inconsistent, opportunistic, and peripatetic politician in Nigeria, may leave the ADC like he did the APGA, PDP, and Labour. Pay attention to him.
