Ayo Fayose, who used to be the governor of Ekiti State, says that Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, is moving forward with plans to remove Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the Olubadan of Ibadan.

Fayose made the new claim in a post on his 𝕏 account on Tuesday, according to reports.

It should be remembered that Fayose had said before that Governor Makinde wants to get rid of Ladoja.

Fayose said this in a post on 𝕏 on Sunday, saying that the supposed move would start with official questions being asked of the king.

Fayose says that the supposed plan would start with the government asking the traditional ruler why he didn’t go to a recent coronation ceremony in Ibadan.

Fayose said again on Tuesday that there is still a fight going on between the Oyo State Governor and Oba Ladoja.

The former Governor also said that the Olubadan is being accused of trying to impeach Makinde and that the government will soon release statements saying that the Olubadan is biased.

He said that the new events are part of Governor Makinde’s plan to make it easier for the Olubadan to be questioned about being biased.

He said, “If you’re still not sure about Governor Seyi Makinde’s plan to get rid of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, just cross your fingers and wait to see what happens.”

“Remember that they said there was no problem between Olubadan and Makinde after I made it public.

“But now they are saying that the Olubadan is planning to impeach Governor Makinde. They are also making statements that say the Olubadan is biased.

“These are parts of Makinde’s plan to make it easier for the Olubadan to be questioned for being biased.”

Fayose’s most recent submission comes just after Gbenga Oyekola, the Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, denied reports that he was involved in a plan by some lawmakers to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, have both said that there is no plan to remove the monarch from his position.
