DJ Kulet, a well-known Nigerian Fuji disc jockey, has said that she used to be a prostitute.
Kulet said this while giving testimony to the glory of God at a church service on Sunday.
In a now-famous video on social media, she said that before she became a DJ, she was a very popular prostitute in the Surulere area of Lagos State.
Kulet said, “I just want to say thank you, Jesus, because my story here in Surulere was very bad.” People know me because I grew up in Lawanson. But I am sorry, and God took me out of the gutter.
She posted the video on her Instagram page on Monday morning and wrote, “How Jesus bought me my own house in Surulere, the same Surulere where the devil once messed me up.” Jesus Christ changed my MESS into a MESSAGE (His Gospel).
“I used to be homeless and sleep around. You know me, of course, because I was very well-known back then. I was a prostitute. I was homeless and walking around the streets of Lagos. After that, a man rented a “face me I slap” for me. My cheap asewo work now puts me in a room with a man’s money until Jesus Christ puts me in a room and parlor with a man’s money. Then my DJ work started to pay, but the landlord made me angry. I had to go to the bathroom for two years because he didn’t do it.
I lived in a house without a toilet for two years. Now I live in a four-bedroom apartment with a bathroom, which I got through my work as a DJ. In April of last year, God bought me a house in the same Surulere. I didn’t sleep around to pay, and I paid in full with agent money.
People remembered that the DJ had said in 2025 that a family member had sexually abused her.
