The leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State gave a serious warning to Senator Ahmed Wadada, who wants to be the governor of the state.

Zamani Daniel and Ibrahim Tukur, leaders of the ruling party, told Senator Wadada not to scare his opponents by saying that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu supports him.

Party leaders say that Wadada’s supposed closeness to the president won’t help him win.

“We know Mr. President to be a real democrat who believes in following the will of the people.” This is why we are upset and shocked that Wadada is bragging that Mr. President will choose him over more established and well-liked candidates.

“Democracy is a game of numbers,” as the saying goes. If you think you’re popular enough, you should promote yourself to the public. Let the people of Nasarawa and party members decide who is best for them. “Now that stakeholders have agreed to direct primaries, candidates should market themselves to the people instead of using dishonest means to get support,” they said.

This news comes after current governor Abdullahi Sule backed Wadada’s bid for governor.

Sule’s support had upset some members of the ruling APC.

Senator Wadada was a member of the Social Democratic Party when he was elected, but he recently left the APC.
