A group of political appointees from Kunav land have acknowledged the tremendous financial and moral support of a few colleagues towards the re-election process of His Excellency Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia come 2027. In a statement by the group’s Convener Solomon Semaka, SSA to the Governor on Civil Society and Strategic Engagements while appreciating everyone for their sacrifices particularly commended the loyalty and passion exhibited by the aforementioned colleagues who went out their way to commit finances and guidance to ensure a smooth victory for the governor and the party at the primaries.
Particularly of note are the chief of staff to the governor Barr Moses Atagher, PPS to the governor, Dr Emmanuel Chenge who have both consistently deployed their wisdom and experience as well as resources towards managing political appointeees from the area. The Convener further noted the extraordinary financial commitment of the GMD BIPC, Dr Raymond Asemakaha as well as that of the State Coordinator RAAMP, Mr Stephen Numbeve who have undoubtedly become the face and pillars of the governors Movement in the area. Solomon Semaka further highlighted the contributions of the Special Advisor to the governor Mr Denen Aondokaa whose strong connection with and understanding of grassroot politics has continued to bear fruits accross Kunav and beyond in many ways.
In a deep congratulatory message to the president and their principal, His Excellency Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia, the group maintained that the victory of the duo was quite predictable and well received by the people who have once again reposed their confidence in their leadership.
“We are truly proud of all of you and certainly deem it fit and proper to acknowledge your individual sacrifices to ensure that those gaps if any where closed for the overall victory of the All Progressive Congress and the governor’s stability” Indeed Dr Peter Chiese whose support must be mentioned is among those who wish the governor well in the area.
The group however expressed total displeasure over the lookwarm attitude of other senior political office holders from the area despite the benevolence of His Excellency to them personally. ” We expect the examplary conduct and gestures of those specially highlighted here to be emulated by everyone in whom the governor has found worthy of service ” Once again we appreciate the few who understands their responsibility and promise to stand by them to help his Excellency achieve success that endures beyond the moment”
The group further emphasized that, as foot soldiers of the governor, a vote of confidence or otherwise on any political appointee from area and beyond would sure be worthy of a review for the sake of the future and posterity.
” As a group we remain forever committed to ensure the victory of the governor in 2027, but more importantly, see beyond the governors future after office where his stability counts more the present. Accordingly, we urge those in privileged positions to reciprocate the gesture of the governor and Kunav people in whatever position they hold by returning the support when it counts.
