Atiku’s Son Declares Support for Tinubu’s Re-election Bid

The son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Abba Abubakar, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, pledging to mobilise two million supporters across the country.

Abba, founder and chairman of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation (HBTO), disclosed this at a press conference at the national secretariat of the party, where he expressed support for the Tinubu-led administration and outlined the organisation’s nationwide mobilisation strategy.

“My decision to establish and lead the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation is a deliberate political choice, which I have made in my personal capacity and with a firm belief in the direction we have chosen to pursue.

I have no reservations about the right of others to hold different political opinions, just as I expect my own convictions to be respected,” he said.
He said the mobilisation exercise would begin in Abuja before extending to other parts of the country.

Abba also announced plans for a major political mobilisation exercise in Rivers State next week to strengthen the organisation’s grassroots structures.

“I can assure you that our structures are being activated, our members are on the ground, and our supporters are ready to demonstrate the strength and reach of this movement,” he said.

He said the organisation would work towards securing victory for President Tinubu in the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State in the 2027 general elections, in line with the political objectives of the FCT Minister.

As part of its interventions, the organisation plans to introduce a transportation support initiative involving the provision of 10 luxury buses, beginning in Abuja.

According to Abba, the initiative is aimed at easing transportation challenges and complementing the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda through practical interventions.

He described HBTO as a political mobilisation platform established to unite Nigerians who believe in President Tinubu’s leadership and the reform agenda of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.

Abba cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), investments in road infrastructure and increased revenue allocations to state governments as some of the initiatives that informed the organisation’s support for the administration.

He said public sector workers had also benefited from improved fiscal capacity at different levels of government, alongside interventions aimed at cushioning the effects of prevailing economic realities, including the recent N70,000 transportation support.

He added that HBTO would establish structures across the six geopolitical zones, engage community stakeholders and collaborate with other political groups to strengthen support for President Tinubu’s re-election.

The chairman said the organisation was committed to translating its political support into tangible community interventions and effective grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
