Bwala Tackles Peter Obi, Says Progress Angers NDC Presidential Candidate

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication and Media to President Bola Tinubu, has alleged that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), is unhappy anytime Nigeria progresses under the present government.

The comments were made in a post shared on 𝕏, it was reported.

The presidential aide said Obi normally reacts negatively to developments in the country even though he wants to lead the country in future.

He wondered why the former Anambra governor would cast aspersion on good changes in governance.

Bwala also alleged that Obi has changed stances on crucial national issues.

He said Obi had earlier supported policies like fuel subsidy removal, state policing and single foreign exchange regime before the 2023 elections but now seems to be kicking against the policies after the present administration has introduced them.

He wrote “Why does Peter Obi @PeterObi get angry anytime Nigeria makes progress why? He is looking to govern the same Nigeria in his wild goose chase. It may be right to say the only person he listens to is the mad man in Opi-iweka road.

“He said he will remove subsidy before 2023 elections; we did and now he says he will not. He said he will create state police, we did, he is saying he will not. He said he would unify the foreign exchange, we did, and now he says he won’t. “I don’t think he even knows what he wants for Nigeria.”
