The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Abbas Tajudeen, and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu have congratulated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday.
In separate messages issued through their media offices, the lawmakers acknowledged the First Lady’s public service and involvement in initiatives focused on women, families and young Nigerians.
Speaker Abbas, in a message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, described Senator Tinubu as an experienced political and community mobiliser.
He also commended her for supporting initiatives of the Federal Government and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abbas said the First Lady had remained an important figure in efforts to mobilise women and communities, and wished her continued strength and wellbeing.
The Speaker also prayed for the success of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In his message, Deputy Speaker Kalu described Senator Tinubu as a mother figure and acknowledged her interventions in areas including women’s empowerment, support for families and vulnerable people, and youth development.
He also highlighted her efforts to raise funds for the renovation and completion of the National Library of Nigeria.
Kalu said investment in libraries was important to the development of education and future generations.
The Deputy Speaker described the First Lady as an inspiration to emerging leaders and wished her continued health, strength and wisdom.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, is 66.
