Kenneth Okonkwo: Atiku saw value in me, Peter Obi betrayed me

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, said that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, saw value in him.

Speaking on Channels Television Politics, Former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi betrayed me today, Okonkwo said on Thursday.

The Nollywood veteran-turned politician said this just 24 hours after Atiku made him his spokesman.

He said he had publicly ended his relationship with Obi in 2024 after he concluded that the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, was not decisive enough to lead Nigeria.

“I’ve been a public affairs analyst since 2009 before I even met Peter Obi. You were one of the first interviewers that interviewed me and I said I was not speaking for him anymore because he’s not decisive and that was in July 2024.

“I have seen in him some qualities that make him unfit to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I made it public. By then I was done with my job with him. But I made it public so people would know that I was no longer speaking for him and I went my own way and I was doing my own job.

He betrayed me,” said Okonkwo.
