Former Manchester United player, Quinton Fortune has warned Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick about the challenges of José Mourinho in the next 2026-27 season.
The Portuguese coach is gearing up for his first season with Los Blancos, after being appointed by the club this summer.
Fortune spoke with Mourinho about this year’s El Clásico encounters between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
He told Tribal Football: “Flick should be wary of the Real Madrid coach’s mind games. “He has to be careful not to be played by the mind games of Mourinho.
“Hansi Flick is a calm character, and I think he already knows what’s coming now that José Mourinho is back at Real Madrid,” he said. If he lets Mourinho get into his head then it’s finished. It’s finished. If Mourinho finds a way in, You’re finished.
“Flick is a good manager but Mourinho is one of the best in the world in terms of psychological warfare. And he has enough talent inside his squad to be able to challenge Barcelona properly on the pitch.

Mourinho will try to take the focus off his players while trying to get under Barcelona’s skin, creating diversions and putting all the pressure on Flick and his side. “This will be a huge test for them.”
Since taking over at La Blaugrana in summer 2024, former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has generally been a success. He has been particularly brilliant in El Clásico, winning six of seven meetings with Real Madrid in all competitions.
Mourinho will be asked to wrestle back supremacy from the Catalan giants, who have secured LaLiga titles in the last two seasons.
He wants to get back in control of the rivalry with the quality of his players, something he did well more than ten years ago.
