Prince Adeniyi Matthew Adeyemi, who parades himself as the Director-General of the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), told how the proposed agency was eventually inserted into the Federal Government’s budget, even though he was arrested before the appropriation process was concluded.
Naija News gathered that Adeyemi made the claims during an interview with social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, in a video released shortly after his arrest.
He also denied allegations that the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila was involved in securing the agency’s reported N1.3 billion budgetary allocation, insisting that he personally approached officials of the Budget Office to seek the agency’s inclusion.
Adeyemi said he visited the Budget Office in December 2024 to request that the agency be added to the 2025 Appropriation Bill.
He said, though, that he was told the budget process was already closed.
“I went to that Budget Office for the 2025 budget,” he said. I sent the letter and everything I wanted but they told me it was already late.
“When the 2025 budget was released and I didn’t see it, they said it was now for the 2026 budget. “We stayed in touch because they said it would be considered later.
Budget officials said they would assist.
He said a female official at the Budget Office facilitated his access to the office of the Director-General, where he was referred to another director.
“She helped me see the oga,” he said. Now Oga said, ‘Where is my shini?’ “I told him I had no shini. Then he asked me to meet a director.
He said the director told him the proposal could no longer be included in the 2025 budget but assured him that efforts would be made to have it included in the 2026 budget.
“They were trying for me that they would include it but unfortunately they said it could not be included in the 2025 budget. “They said it was going to be 2026,” he said.
‘I did not pay anyone’
Answering questions on if he bribed any Budget Office official, Adeyemi insisted that no money changed hands in the process.
He only admitted that he offered to help some officials with jobs if the agency ever became operational.
“I paid nothing, I swear,” he said. I paid no one. The only promise I made was that if I started employing people I could help them out with employment opportunities.”
“That’s the favour I promised them,” he went on. I did not give money to no one. “It was only a promise that if they had people, I could use them later.
Adeyemi said: “My hands were full with my legal challenges and all attempts to continue with the proposed agency came to a halt as soon as I was arrested.
And he says, ‘Right away there was a problem, everything stopped. Even the woman who wanted to help was calling because she couldn’t get ahold of me. “I said to her, ‘Stop everything.
He said he was surprised to find that the agency later appeared in the Federal Government’s budget.
I didn’t even know until they said it was in the budget. I was already gone from the office. Where would I still pursue the budget when I was already facing court?” he said.

“I don’t know, because once that problem started, everything stopped,” Adeyemi said when asked if Budget Office officials may have inserted the agency into the budget after his arrest. “Why do I want the budget anyway if I was already in trouble?
Adeyemi also spoke further on the claims that he paid ₦400 million to help his appointment.
The funds were sent in United States dollars through his late partner, Dolapo Tanimola, he said.
But he said he could not confirm whether the money ultimately made its way to the President’s Chief of Staff.
Asked what currency he was told the money was paid in, he said: “Dollars.”
“Dolapo,” he replied when asked who got it.
I Didn’t Meet Gbajabiamila
Adeniyi also said he never met Gbajabiamila physically before or after his appointment.
Tanimola was in charge of all the communications throughout the process, he said.
I never saw Gbajabiamila physically before and after he was appointed,” he said. ‘Dolapo Tanimola did everything for me.
However, Adeyemi’s latest allegations are yet to be publicly addressed by the Presidency and the Budget Office.
