Gida-Gida TikTokers Chairman, Fatima Naseer Teemahcool, who led a recent underwears display during a recent visit to Kano State by Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, has been awarded a political appointment.
It was also gathered that she was appointed by Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government in Kano, Yusuf Imam Ogan Boye as the officer in charge of women affairs.
According to the report, the letter of appointment was signed by the secretary to the local government, Ado Mohammed Hotoro.
The letter says the decision was made due to Teema Cool’s contributions and commitment to the growth of the local government.
She has been directed to discharge her duties as per the rules and regulations governing the work of the council.
Teema Cool, who is said to be a known face in Kano politics, hit the national headlines last week for leading the controversial display of underwear ridiculing a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
However, she has since apologised and promised never to do it again after a string of condemnations inside and outside the state.
On the other hand, Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has denied any link with the controversial display of red underwear by a group of young women at a rally held in honour of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Kano State Governor said he was not aware of such activity and did not approve such activity.
He also condemned the public display of underwear during the programme, saying that it was against the cultural and religious values of the people of the state.
