The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has condemned the imposition of N150m fees on guber candidates for the placement of campaign billboards in the state.
Ogala, in a video seen on X, said she does not have a godfather that “has stolen government funds” to pay that amount of money to display on a billboard.

Remember the Abia State Structure for Signage and Advertising Agency, ABSSAA, had slapped N200 million and N150 million fees on all presidential candidates and governorship candidates for 2027 who want to showcase their political campaign structures in the State advertisement space.
Ogala responded, “People are dying in the hospital. “Workers are dying. They have not been paid salaries and you are charging 150 million naira for a candidate. Where am I gonna get the money?
“Do I have a godfather who has stolen money from the government? I will pay 150 million naira. I dare anybody to touch my billboard! “We’re going to campaign without a billboard in this state,” he said.
