Demola Olarewaju, Senior Political Assistant to African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, says the party’s running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, is a statesman who understands the game of politics.
He said Amaechi knows when to fight and when to sheath his sword.
His thoughts were posted on his 𝕏 account, it was reported.
Olarewaju said Amaechi knows when to set aside his personal interest for the larger agenda of removing President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“He is a statesman that knows when to fight hard and when to sheathe swords; when to be selfish and when to subsume personal interest for a larger agenda of kicking Tinubu out.
“Some people are only useful for themselves, and thus useless for society and a coalition.”
Meanwhile, the former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Okechukwu Nwanosike, popularly known as Ishi Nwanosike has threatened the African Democratic Congress (ADC) vise presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi ahead of 2027 election.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Nwanosike, a loyalist of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, said it would be difficult for Amaechi to win the upcoming general election in Rivers State, Naija News reports.

The people of Ikwerre have not benefited much from Amaechi despite the former governor occupying several political positions over the past two decades, Nwanosike claimed.
The political battle ahead of the 2027 elections in Rivers State would not be on the streets, he said, warning that the contest would be taken to the former governor’s bedroom.
“I can tell you that Amaechi has been in the House of Assembly twice, the Ikwerre people supported him to become governor twice and he was a minister for two tenures.
“He chose to destroy even his friends instead of helping the Ikwerre people. But he thinks it is only him that is from the Ikwerre Local Government.
“We are here to tell the world and his political faction that until the Supreme Court decides which faction of the ADC is to be recognized by INEC, they should not bother coming home. E go beta.
“We will take the battle to their bedroom not the street,” he said.
