BBNaija Season 11: Meet All the Housemates Introduced on Launch Night

The organizers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show have officially unveiled the first batch of housemates who will slug it out for the 11th edition of the popular reality series, with a grand prize of ₦160 million up for grabs.

The new season boasts a diverse mix of contestants from a variety of professional backgrounds, including streamers, entrepreneurs, models, pharmacists, chefs and tech professionals. Each housemate enters the competition with different ambitions, personalities and strategies, setting the stage for what is certain to be another entertaining and highly competitive season.

With contestants who are in it to win and others who are happy to mingle and form alliances, the first batch of housemates has started to stir excitement among fans eager to see how the competition will play out.

Leading the pack is Tram, a 24-year-old Lagos State streaming sensation who has said his only goal is to win the ₦160 million grand prize. Tram says he has absolutely no interest in love or distractions while in Biggie’s house, unlike many past contestants who have used romantic relationships to fuel their strategies. “The biggest priority for me is to stay focused on the competition,” he said.

Temi Nkem, another contestant, walks into the house with a lot of confidence and a well thought out strategy. At just 21 she wants to play the game her way and not be controlled by other housemates, she says. The organisers of BBNaija describe her as a strong personality with a game plan to stick to her own rules in the house.

Kogi State-born visual storyteller and model Martins, 30, is trading the catwalks for reality television. He says he’s someone who likes to read people, and he jokes that his hidden talent is “reading minds.” “I’m looking forward to enjoying every moment in the house and just being myself,” Martins says. They also say he’s an open book, wears his heart on his sleeve and is ready to connect with fellow contestants on a meaningful level.

Mercedes, a 26-year-old massage therapist and concierge business owner, is from Delta State. She is entering the competition with confidence and believes that being a part of BBNaija is another chance to build on her achievements and not to start all over again in search of success. Mercedes is not entering the house because she’s desperate for money, but because she sees the platform as yet another addition to her growing success, said the show’s organizers.

Joining the house is Keivo, a 27-year-old web developer from Benue State. He describes himself as a jack of all trades and confident in his abilities. He says he’s open to finding love during the show, but marriage is not on his mind right now. Outside of work, Keivo is a gamer, painter and drawer, hobbies that he believes show his creative side.

“I’m ready to enjoy all the experiences the BBNaija house has to offer,” said Chimsom Chuka, a 27-year-old pharmacist from Anambra State. The organisers paint him as a calm, humorous patient man. He hopes viewers will see the real him as he takes on the trials, tasks and relationships of life in Biggie’s house.

Abi, a chef and model from Osun State, is the first to finish the batch and feels her humour and bubbly personality will make her stand out this season. “Certified scene-stealer” is how BBNaija organisers describe her and she has no plans to play wallflower. Instead they say Abi brings energy, entertainment and enough charisma to keep her fellow housemates and viewers thoroughly entertained.

The first set of contestants has been unveiled and the anticipation is building up for the full launch of BBNaija Season 11 as fans await the unveiling of more housemates and the kick-off of the battle for the coveted ₦160 million prize.
