The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu has expressed confidence that the party will win the 2027 general elections at all levels.
He urged opposition members and aggrieved politicians to return to the ruling party ahead of expected elections.
Danladi made the call during a state-wide “thank you” tour he led with other APC candidates to appreciate party members and supporters after the party’s primary elections, it was reported.
The visit started with visits to Ekiti and Oke Ero Local Government Areas where the APC delegation paid a courtesy visit to the traditional rulers, party leaders and supporters.
The delegation was led by the state APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, other party chieftains, and various support groups.
Danladi, who spoke to APC supporters at a well-attended town hall meeting in Ekiti, thanked members of the party for their support during the primary elections and urged them to continue with the support ahead of the 2027 polls.
“We have come to appreciate what you did during the party primaries and also to seek your continuous support for our candidates, from our presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the State House of Assembly,” he said.

The APC candidate said the huge turnout for the event, despite the short notice given to supporters, showed the confidence and support the people had for the party.
He also assured that the next APC administration would build on the achievements of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration, especially in infrastructure, human capital development, inclusive governance and support for traditional institutions.
‘APC To Win 2027 Elections From Top To The Grassroots’
Danladi used the Yoruba word ‘Efokanbale’, meaning ‘ Be assured ‘, that the party will win the forthcoming elections, appealing to aggrieved politicians and members of the opposition to return to the APC.
“‘Efokanbale. APC is taking Kwara from bottom to top in the 2027 elections. Let’s talk to our neighbors and those who have missed the road to come back to the winning team.
“There’s no sign of the train moving yet. “ there is still room on the train for them to be taken along ” he said.
Speaking during the visit, the APC State Chairman, Fagbemi, said there was no genuine reason why anyone should be against Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whom he described as a leader that has positively impacted the state.
“There is no one that has any genuine reason to hate Governor AbdulRahman because there is no one he has not done something for.
When the time comes we will name names. “Not a single ward in Ekiti has not felt the impact of the Governor’s intervention.”
He said the governor, who is the APC senatorial candidate for Kwara Central, sent the delegation himself to the communities, though he did not go on the tour.
He said the administration executed the take-off of the Kwara State University campus in Osi, reconstruction of Osi-Obbo Aiyegunle road and the return of the House of Representatives seat to the Ekiti axis.
He appealed to the people to reciprocate the efforts of the government by voting massively for the APC candidates at the 2027 elections.
The APC delegation was received on the tour by the Olosi of Osi and Chairman, Ekiti Traditional Council, Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe and the Alofa of Ilofa and Chairman, Oke Ero Traditional Council, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada.
Other traditional rulers from the two local government areas also attended the meetings and said prayers and gave royal blessings to the candidates.
The monarchs praised the Governor AbdulRazaq for what they called phenomenal development across Kwara State in the past seven years.
They prayed for the APC candidates to emerge victorious in the 2027 polls.
Traditional rulers, however, appealed to political candidates not to forget traditional institutions after being elected.
The Olosi appealed to the candidates to pay more attention to the welfare of the traditional rulers.
When you are elected, don’t forget the traditional rulers. “Care for us because some of us are living…,” the monarch said.
The APC senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Prince Lekan Adewoye, praised the people of Ekiti and Oke Ero for their continued support for the party.
Adewoye promised to prioritize the needs and development of the senatorial district should he be elected in 2027.
