Lafia Draws APC Leaders for North-Central Mega Rally

The Nasarawa State capital has attracted political leaders and supporters from across the North-Central region ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Buses conveying party members and supporters began arriving in the city on Friday ahead of the rally, scheduled to take place at Lafia Square.

Some of the buses bore images of President Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and governors from the region, while chartered interstate buses transported supporters from different locations to the state capital.

The Usman Danfodio Airport has also witnessed increased activity as dignitaries and other invited guests arrive for the gathering.

The rally, organised by the North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network, is aimed at demonstrating the region’s support for President Tinubu and Vice-President Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, is hosting the event, which is expected to feature the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, alongside governors and other political leaders from the North-Central region and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The gathering is also expected to provide a platform for APC leaders to present their positions on the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilise grassroots support ahead of the next general elections.

With Lafia hosting the regional political gathering, the rally highlights the role of Nasarawa State in the APC’s efforts to strengthen its political presence across the North-Central region.

The event forms part of the party’s wider political activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
