Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi Central District has submitted her Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial nomination forms at the party’s National Secretariat in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The submission witnessed by party faithful, stakeholders and party supporters, is the official start of her bid to return to the Senate for another term.
“I thank the people of Kogi Central and the members of the PDP for their constant support and confidence in my leadership,” she said shortly after submitting the forms.
She said her decision to seek re-election was borne out of the need to maintain purposeful representation and deepen democratic governance at the grassroots.
I remain committed to serving my people and advancing democratic values. “This is not about individual ambition but about continuing purposeful representation, empowering our youths and women and ensuring that the dividends of democracy gets to every community,” she said.
Her priority remained on infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery and opening up economic opportunities for the constituents across Kogi Central, she said.
“We have begun a wave of hope, inclusion and progress. “With the grace of God and the support of our people, we will continue to build a future where every citizen feels represented and valued,” she added.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who has been a vocal member of the National Assembly on governance and social welfare issues, said she was confident that her re-election bid would further entrench the development strides across Kogi Central.
